Here are some ways to improve your decoy spread before the next season to increase your odds of bringing home a limit.

You can hunt with a few decoys and sometimes that’s the best way to go with wary birds. However, ducks and geese are social creatures who find security in numbers. Having a bigger spread will often bring in flocks that would otherwise flare. One of the ways to do this and not go broke is to buy economy packs. These decoys aren’t ultra-realistic, but what they lack in definition, they make up for in numbers. By the time the birds can tell they look off, you should be pulling the trigger.
